All of our staff are very experienced childcare professionals.

Our staff are all Level 3 trained, and our Manager has a degree, in childcare. All our staff are PEDs first aid trained.

In addition, to our staff’s qualifications, ongoing training is available through Suffolk County Council and Pre-school Learning Alliance courses, formal training is available through local meetings and conferences.

Our membership of the Pre-school Learning Alliance ensures that we are constantly in touch with the most up-to-date thinking in the field of child education and care.

Meet the Team

  • Manager

    Kirsty - Manager

    Kirsty joined us in September 2024 and holds a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies, with Professional Practice. Kirsty has managed different preschool settings for over 10 years and has set up a school nursery, she is currently training to be an Early Years Teacher.

  • Simone

    Simone Shaw has been with Roundabout Pre-school since September 2015. She has volunteered with another Pre-school for a number of years and has a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. She has had training in Safeguarding Children, first aid and food hygiene.

  • Carmen

    Carmen has been working in childcare for 10 years, 8 of those years have been spent as bank staff at Roundabout before becoming a permanent member of staff.
    Carmen has a Level 3 qualification in Childcare at Distinction level.
    Carmen loves inspiring the children and watching their imagination skills flourish, she likes to create a fun learning environment for the children to thrive.

  • Siobhan

    Siobhan is our SENCO and has a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Childcare Learning and Development. Siobhan has a great deal of experience over the years with Special Educational Needs and has also managed a preschool setting.
